Re: **** PLEASE POST ALL VFR4 BETA 2 PROBLEMS HERE *****
could you upload a simple scene that produces those results? Then I can take a look at it and see what we can do. You can upload the file to ftp://ftp.asgvis.com/incoming - just PM or email me to let me know the name of the file. Thanks for your helpBest regards,

Re: **** PLEASE POST ALL VFR4 RC PROBLEMS HERE *****
I wonder me, the new release makes, that the sky system is much brighter than befor.
If I want to get a DOF effect, I must use the standard camera. At previous releases it was ok to use a output multiplier 0.015 (reinhard mapping). Now I must use 0.0005 and after a rendering is finished, the value automatic jump to 505, so that the next rendering is totaly overbright. Tested with starterkit 3.www.simulacrum.de - visualization for designer and architects

Yes - we were informed by Vlado that there were issues with the physical camera / sun/sky that needed modification. Those fixes made their appearance in the RC. He also informed us that we may need to modify our defaults to respond to these changes. I don't think we changed our defaults though - so perhaps we should.Best regards,

Re: **** PLEASE POST ALL VFR4 RC PROBLEMS HERE *****
I would say that the new brighter sky and sun,is closer to the reality than the previous version, but something else have change the color of materials and reflections are much more saturated than before,I can't figure out what to tweak except redefining the materials, may be it is the way to go...

Joe, also I miss the important options "affect specular" and "affect diffuse" of the rectangular lights. This options are very important for invisible light. We talk about it some weeks befor, reflective object looks like plain diffuse object in an invisible lights environment. Please try to implement it, because it is needed for a current feature. It's not a new feature, it's more something like a bug fix.www.simulacrum.de - visualization for designer and architects

Re: **** PLEASE POST ALL VFR4 RC PROBLEMS HERE *****
1)create a new material with a reflection layer.adjust.
2)create a second material, add a reflection layer it will automatically take the settings of the previous material.
If you have multiple materials with reflection, the new one will take the settings of the last material with reflection that you opened.

Originally posted by MichaAt the moment it is not possible to render more than one image with sky and DOF (standard camera). The 0.0005-reset-to-505-bug is a problem and I'm not sure now, you mean it by "our defaults". So, I bring it again.

Re: **** PLEASE POST ALL VFR4 RC PROBLEMS HERE *****
typo in color mapping: Linear multipliy
important missing VFB channel: Unclamped color. This is to use gamma correction for RGB channel (so that QMC sampler is corrected for gamma correction) and then use unclamped channel to save HDR version of the rendering.
I also miss frame stamp options, especially number of faces and I miss rendertime estimation like in max.
crash: open material editor, select a material, maps, check bump map, but don't add map, update material -->crash
if you open object properties, there is a displacement dialog box, but it has no effect whatsoever on displacement.

I think a global checkbox for to enable/disable displacement should be added to global settings or displacement tab.You can contact StudioGijs for 3D visualization and 3D modeling related services and on-site training.

Thanks - Travis Serio had mentioned this one to me via PM a couple days ago. I'll take a look at it
Does not seems to be the situation now.
