              The light portal IM bug is no special Rhino bug, it's a Vray core issu. Wouter tested it at max. Thanks.

                I'm still not convinced it's a bug, I think it's simply how the portal works. Because is bundles some environment light it creates a stronger lighting than without using it. After all that was what is was designed for, to get more light into the room.

                  But how do you explain that the portal works in QMC/LC mode. The light portal is active in other modes too and useful, like to see here.
                  If the user jump from IM to QMC, than the light distributation should be the same or? I think, Vlado could fix it.

                  You mean, IM and light portal should used together? I thought, the light portal is designed to help the engine to calculate the lighting with direct light? Also it help to get raytraced shadows.

                    Hi, I noticed a bug. (At least I think its a bug.) If you look at the first image in my gallery, you will see white lines on the corners of the top shelf. These appear only when I use fresnel reflection. I guess it is something to do with picking up the edge of the map. Thanks, Gavin

                      Another bug I noticed, is when I am rendering I cannot get the pixel info dialog to work. The window pops up, but doesn't not display any info. I usually use it to check if my background is 100% white.

                        The vertical white lines? Maybe if you could provide us the scene we could play around with it a bit

                          Dear ASGVIS Team,

                          I recently discovered a very annoying bug which is related to mirrored Block objects and most obvious if these contain transparent materials or one sided materials.
                          After my testing I have the impression, that when mirroring blocks the normals of the block objects are flipped.
                          So this is probably a Rhino problem, however I decided to post it anyway because it has a strong impact to the render aspect and so you could also mention this to the McNeel people.

                            Yes - Blocks do seem to have a number of issues, or our proccessing of them causes such issues (not sure which). I'll see if I can uncover anything - perhaps they have already worked out some of these issues in Rhino4.

                              My VfR dosn't work anymore after a BIOS update. It says, I must activate again, but the internet activation bring the error: InetTrans.exe not found. If I try it a second time after this error, I get the error: during the request of an activation code from the server an error occur (error 1101). (free translation from german error message)

                                The subdiv option of the refraction layer is broken. I can set any value and get the same noise. Only Vlados universal method works, than the subdivs are determinated by the global adaptive QMC subdivs. So, with manual subdivs it's inpossible to render a smooth frozen glass. (at 3dsmax it works)
