    ... if I select a light and edit the parameters and than I do a quick test render - after the rendering, the light is selected, but I can not edit the light. Only if I deselect the light and reselect it, I can change the parameters.

      (1) Here a framebuffer crash bug: I have rendered a large image (5000x2500) and than I have zoomed in very strong. I have seen 1600% and was zooming in and out a little, because the display was hang up - crash. The buffer was closed and as I have try to open the buffer again, the image was gone. Good, I have saved it befor, no problem now.

      (2) Also I have a problem with the spot light intensity: I need a intensity above 1e+6, but a higher value is not possible. It's a problem, because I want to do a light simulation in exponential color mapping mode and with fallof lights.

      (3) If I set lights, than I can not see the light in the rhino rendered viewport. The whole scene is black. This mode is useful to show clients a raw view of the scene.

      PS: I'm happy about my high res test of an exterior scene - 12 Megapixel in 3h30min with Vlados cool standard method (LC5000/0.002 + noisethreshold 0.001 @ AMD3800X2). Thank you.

        Yes, I suppose I will have to do something similar to how I made our materials sort of show up in a rendered viewport. I will just have to set some basic properties that our light has in common with the regular light and it should show up a bit better

          Hello,

          something is still not working...

          just opened a scene I was working on in the morning and i was unable to edit the materials (edit greyed out). when rendering some material settings still seem to work ( color, mappings...) others such as reflection changed themselves.

          Another Thing : I am not able to export to file anymore

          "failed to load vismat file"

                Please do.......

                I want to be sure that the your greying out problem goes away immediatly! McNeel has fixed some "bug" for us with SR5. I am pretty sure it's one of the bugs you are finding...

                        So... I am back, installed SR5 but the problem with the materials persists... could it be an material incompatibility issue between 12.1 and 12?

                        I also tried to put a map in the opacity slot of the diffuse layer, but i am getting strange halos (pic 1). When changing the multiplier of the alpha map from 1 to 1.15, the Halo disappears but the plane is visible (pic2).





                        Can you confirm this?

                        If you wish, i could mail you the 3dm file and the maps...

                          Please e-mail both of the scenes.

                          1. Scene, vismats, etc. that demo the grey out of buttons
                          2. Scene, maps, etc. that demo the opacity issue.

                            ... and another one

                            1. open rhino
                            2. edit the material of any layer -> add refraction layer
                            3. browse for an image to apply to the transparency slot
                            4. click OK
                            5. the capital M has moved to the reflection slot

                                (1) ... if I use a map at the opacity of an emitter layer, than the "m" stay a small "m".

                                (2) The new texture path option is very nice. Thank you. Only a small hint: if I paste a path and press "enter", the file in the browser is highlighted, but not loaded. Only if I double click on a other file in the browser and than on my file, it is loaded. Could be good, if it is loaded after the user press the "enter" button.

                                (3) If I set a spot light, than the light cone in the rendering is wider than in Rhino.
