Cannot start Enscape after Upgrade

I had my Revit upgraded from 2017 to 2021.

ever since, enscape will not start and tells me the license is in use and i have no valid seats. I have 2 different seat licenses available that are not in use, neither works. one was literally purchased to try and resolve this problem and one is my previous key used in 2017.

2017 has been removed from the computer and the license for that is not available.

In the license control page on the website, it shows them available / unassigned.

Things tried:

uninstalled enscape, wiped from the registry, and reinstalled

turned off other keys and tried them on the machine (turned back on on the other machines no problem)

Suggestions / Solutions are most welcome at this point
