Enscape for Mac 2.0.1 is causing my system to freeze and must force reboot

This is probably the least stable release I’ve ever witnessed from Enscape!

Since updating to the latest Enscape for Mac version 2.0.1, Enscape is freezing my entire machine and the only way to fix it is to force reboot. I’ve had to force reboot about 30x in the last month.

Is there a fix/update coming for this release soon? And if not, how do I downgrade to the previous version?

I’m on an M1 Max Macbook Pro with 64GB RAM on Ventura 13.6.2 and I can’t upgrade to Sonoma because SketchUp doesn’t support it.

Hey @suguru

Have you submitted feedback with logs already? We have seen such reports from a few customers here on forum but no one has provided more data upon our request. Without logs and crash dumps it is hard to find the bug and fix it because we did not observe such hard crashes. I’m using exactly the same laptop by the way, so it would be great to have a repro case and logs.

Thank you in advance.

@Alexander_Devaykin I don’t know if it’s logged as a crash if it just freezes my computer and I have to restart it. Happy to share any historical logs and crash dumps. Where can I find them?

There is a feedback button on the Enscape panel. Make sure “Include Enscape Logs” checkbox is set. Maybe mention that your feedback comes from this forum so it quicker lands by developers.

Also please give a try to the new preview version. It has multiple bugs fixed, added some missing features and has other performance improvements: here

Alternatively you can open Console app, go to Log Reports section, copy and send me the latest log directly after such a hard crash heve on the forum via PM.

Thanks @Alexander_Devaykin shooting you a message now and trying out the Preview 1
