Enscape not open

when I open Enscape, it gives the following error:

Enscape could not start. We are sorry for the inconvenience. We are eager to fix the problem you’ve encountered, so please send us an error report. Your feedback includes the Enscape log files. This helps us to fix the problem sooner!

I am having the same problem.

We have just recently released a hotfix which can be acquired here which should resolve this behavior. In case you still experience this or another issue kindly submit a support report as detailed here too so that we can further troubleshoot the cause behind this.

hellow same issue here even after installing the update.

I also cant set my feedback because i get de same message.

update , its a floating license and i updated enscape on an other computer on another revit account and there it worked. but why doens’t it work on my pc?

Hi @laurens_callewaert , and thanks for the report - Right away just to make very sure even the support button does not function for you? If possible please kindly try reaching out to the support team again by trying to use said support button as detailed here.

If that does not work for you at all, then please kindly reach out to the support team by using the Help Center instead, as detailed in the linked article above as well. Thanks a lot once more in advance.

I have the same problem. I have upgraded my gpu driver, I have installed the hotfix; I don’t know what else to do here. I am sending a support message each time.

We have received the additional report submitted yesterday, our support team will thus reach out to you as well soon to further troubleshoot the exact cause behind this issue.

My issue was resolved by upgrading my GPU (which is strange, since I had already done that) and by deleting everything related to Enscape/Chaos from my PC and reinstalling it.

It worked fine for a week, but when I started Enscape today, I received the same error message again. After reinstalling the same GPU update, the problem was resolved once more. It’s really strange

I had the exact same issue on multiple computers in my company and only the 4.2.1 version was still working for us.

However, I found the solution this morning while analyzing Windows events logs on my computer. The Windows event linked to the Enscape error message “Enscape could not start…” was about the MSVCP140 dll being defective.

So I downloaded and installed the lastest Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable package to repair the dll. Now Enscape 4.4 (and 4.3) work again on all my computers.

again this problem. Everytime i have to update my grapfic card and after that it works. How is this possible? everytime i have to do the same update.

Hi @laurens_callewaert , re-installing the same GPU drivers each time to resolve this problem should of course not be necessary. Just to make sure as some of the recent drivers can cause issues in general we reccomend going with the latest stable drivers as follows:

NVIDIA Game Ready: 566.14

NVIDIA Studio: Same as Game Ready or first lower version

AMD: 32.0.13031.3015 (AMD Adrenaline: 25.3.1)

Intel: 32.0.101.6790

Should you still experience ongoing problems despite using the above version, please simply forward this (once more) via a support report incl. log files and we’ll look into it accordingly.

Thanks for this, Enscape 4.6 hasn’t been starting and also couldn’t send anything to support (proxy error or something), but downloading and running the C++ Redist has seemingly fixed things.

everyday still the same problem… every day i have to download the same update

Hi @laurens_callewaert , if my previous reply and the recommended drivers do not resolve the problem at hand here for you please also definitely forward this via a support report (including log files) for further review as detailed here. It suffices if you simply include a link to this forum thread for reference in the support report’s submission form.

This will allow us to look into this behavior in detail based on your current machine(s) as well. Thank you in advance.

This is quite frustrating, as it occurs frequently, and this time after update to latest Enscape, update C++ Package, and GPU driver, still getting the error. Again, not sure what else to do. I tried to send feedback using the Supprot butten, but it shows “Error” EVERY TIME after I click “send”.

A number of our devices no longer start Ensape after being updated from 4.7 to 4.8. We’re prompted with the “Enscape could not start. We are sorry for the inconvenience. We are eager to fix the problem you’ve encountered, so please send us an error report. Your feedback includes the Enscape log files. This helps us to fix the problem sooner!” message.

This happens with Revit 24 and 25 on Windows 11 (patched) with the latest Nvidia drivers.

Additionally, when requesting support, submitting logs doesn’t work.

Everything worked fine prior to updating to 4.8, and now we’re losing valuable time.

Please advise next steps to resolve this issue.

Hi @OMBrendering , and thanks for the report.

Besides perhaps downgrading to Enscape 4.7 again for the time being and ensuring your graphics card drivers are up to date (especially if some of machines haven’t been updated in a while), please kindly forward this behavior via the Help Center instead if the Support button itself does not function as detailed here.

Any further instructions will then be provided by the official support team directly including any further steps on how to troubleshoot this behavior. Thank you in advance for your cooperation.
