when I try to open enscape twice in the same sesion i’m getting this message
… blah
Hi @revitpower , just to make sure in this case this crash occurs when you click on “Start Enscape” after Enscape is already opened?
If so then this is of course not the expected behavior and given that you’re using the latest preview it would be ideal if you could forward this via a support report (incl. logs) as well.
I tried to reproduce this myself but was unable to re-create the crashing, and in general since the Preview may not always be as stable as our latest release any additional reports we receive will allow us to troubleshoot such specific issues before a further Enscape version is published.
thanks @Demian_Gutberlet
It only happens when I open a session of Enscape, close it, and then try to open it again after a few minutes.
To reopen an Enscape session I have had to close and reopen Revit.
So it works again.
Nothing complicated, just some wasted time.
But now that I know it works like this, I try not to close the Enscape session until I don’t need it anymore for the day.
All good
This has been happening throughout our office pretty often since 4.3/4.4. Usually I tell people to close/open Revit to fix it. Obviously that is not an ideal solution. And today I ran into a computer where closing/opening Revit did not fix it and none of the typical fixes are working. Currently waiting on Enscape support to respond about this.
I’ve spent all day trying to help out one of our customers
The (i) button and the send diagnostics to enscape didn’t work either.
Reinstalling both of these seemed to help
THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!
This post probably saved me hours of troubleshooting.
Excellent, I’m glad it helped.
I thought I’d post it as I bet they are not the only people where this has happened - it happened immediately after an Nvidia driver update and we tried EVERYTHING before I started checking windows logs
I can confirm that repairing and in some cases reinstalling the MS Visual C++ 2015-2022 Redist (64) fixed the issue in our environment across multiple affected computers.
