Hi Chaos, it’s great to see you celebrating yourselves on YouTube with regular new videos… They’re brilliant new features, too. But as a Cinema 4D user, I try to avoid these videos… I’d be happy if you’d just fix a few bugs that have been known about for months. Internally, you complain that the Cinema 4D community is too small… yet you prefer to allocate your resources to other products. I think you yourselves are largely to blame for the community not growing. But I couldn’t care less about your business plan. Yet your C4D community stuck with you right from the start, even when nothing came of it for years after the takeover. Today, we’re still lagging far behind. I suspect most people don’t use V-Ray for fun, but to earn a living. Contrary to your promise that Chaos makes everything easier, I don’t exactly feel that way… Since you’ve just raised your prices, perhaps you have a few euros left over to put more resources into the lower rated applications?

I am not sure I agree as far as Archviz goes. Coronarender for Cinema4D has improved a lot over the years with many new features. I am a Mac user so I depend on Coronarender basically as the only really good option. But I no longer render clouds, vegetation, complex lighting, humans, cars and so on since all that is done much better in model to image-AI now.
As you said, it depends on your needs… I render (on Windows) (Vray not Corona) animations for automotive and other product presentations.
At the moment, I’m only waiting for bug fixes, especially for DR2. So far, only some of the DR2 bugs have been fixed (It’s already the fourth month.)
I don’t need Vantage or all that AI stuff, at least not at the moment.
Take a look at all the little extras that the Max3D version offers but haven’t been carried over to C4D. I’ve already given up on those anyway.
Compare the release schedules for Autodesk programmes and C4D versions…
Compare the frequency of new nightly builds… and those are just bug fixes…
To sum up, this is how I see things… nobody has to agree with me, but where else can I make my frustration visible?
And if a few more people share this view and express it in a friendly manner, perhaps things will change in the future… Perhaps even Chaos will eventually take notice.
Don’t worry buddy we’ve been asking for features and bug fixes for a long time for Max version too, so we got VerasAI integration instead. Thank you Mr. Investor.
