First time poster - not sure whether to post in the Mac forum of the ArchiCAD forum.
We are testing out Enscape with ArchiCAD. When we make edits in the Enscape material editor, our edits do not save. If we close the editor and re-open it, none of the changes have been saved. As you can imagine, it’s very frustrating and doesn’t leave a good impression as we consider a purchase.
What are we missing?
I notice no one has responded here… I am (and have been) experiencing the same issue… Enscape even presents an alert “We’re experiencing difficulties saving changes in your document. Please be aware that any changes made in the future won’t be saved until the issue is resolved”…
Then, upon closing the material editor, the changes disappear (even though I was able to see the changes LIVE while editing)…
Please FIX or let me know the work around.
I should mention… ARCHICAD / Enscape… windows 11…
Even though you reserve all in ArchiCAD, you actually aren’t reserving the library/ies. So go into the library editor and ensure you reserve the embedded Enscape Assets
I had the same issue and solved mine:
When I plugged a new USB storage device into the computer, the drive letters of my hard disks changed and the texture paths saved in Enscape disappeared. I clicked on the gear icon in the bottom left corner of the Enscape material editor window and replaced the ‘imported texture storage’ folder with a new one.
Follow up…
It does seem to be linked to what I have reserved… For the record, I did reserve the ENSCAPE TEXTURES folder (and ASSETS), but I also need to reserve ArchiCAD’s MATERIAL EDITOR…
