3dsmax 2019 (though it also happens with all max versions after)
vray 52023
Steps to reproduce:
1) open the attached max file
2) connect the VrayDirt to the VrayOSLTex input (see screenshot)
3) press render
The render process should start, freeze, and after a while crash max. If you replace the VrayDirt with something else (like a checker texture) it’ll render fine. So something with how the VrayDirt is evaluated seems broken.

I was asking as I had 3dsmax crashing case some time ago (vraydirt+blend material) and windows7 was blamed.
Hi thank you for your report. We reviewed your scene and logged the issue under VSLANG-162 in our bug tracking system.
Hi, the crash with VRayDirt applied to VRayOSLTex issue is fixed. You can download the latest V-Ray and test it.
Thanks for the update! We have however completely abandoned OSL for one and a half years now and won’t be coming back - with this being one of the main reasons why. We simply can’t wait years for a bug fix (and that one certainly could be called a severe one).
