Finally airing, now we can show it! It turned out pretty good, a fun commercial!

Really cool vid. Very smooth

Pity tho .. as a car the new subies look pretty average.

nice work

the subi has never been about looks though really, this isnt a ferrari :stuck_out_tongue:

having said that the wrx hasnt been fun to drive since 2000.

that’s just immense.
really truly amazing - great work.

congrats to you and chris, and everyone else who worked on it.

inspiring!

<what combination of software if you don’t mind me asking? Vray + Nuke?>

Hi,

nice work! Is there any car shot real?

Dieter

oh yes, I forgot to mention what was real and what was CG. the entire spot is CG accept for when the car is driving outside on the bridge/road. (two or three shots in the middle of the spot) The red car in the very last shot (where the blue car slides on to frame) is real as well, the rest is CG in that shot.

Great

Great work :]

Outstanding work - could you give us a brief break down of the process ?

process of what? anything in particular?

Chris Nichols showed this to the audience at the Design/Modeling Viz conference in San Diego earlier this month just after it first went on the air. Absolutely stunning, it has to be said. He also gave a great breakdown of the stages the project went through in production, which was incredibly enlightening for our own archviz animation workflows. Can’t thank him enough for such a great talk.

Many thanks for posting this, it’s a very tight, well-produced spot.
