Sun angle with "override sun's parameters"

When i add a sky in the texture editor of my environment settings and choose the override sun’s parameters tab, i get the effect i like, however i can’t edit the location of the sun because i’m overriding the SU settings.. is there any way to change this and edit the time of day.. my settings are as follows.
Turbidity:3
Photon radius: 50
Ozone: 0.35
Photon emit dist: 150
Intensity mult: 1
size mult: 2

Re: Sun angle with “override sun’s parameters”

The V-Ray sun is the Sketchup sun, so just modify the day and time as you would normally.

Re: Sun angle with “override sun’s parameters”

thats the whole problem.. editing the skethup settings wont change the vray renders it.. is it possible that because i’m using somebody else’s visopt that its somehow programed to the time of day they saved it with?

Re: Sun angle with “override sun’s parameters”

Its probably because you’re using an older version. There was a bug in the older versions that didn’t have the sun update with changes from SU. The best thing to do (other than update your version of vfSU) is to save the visopt and reload it. This will then register the new sun location

Re: Sun angle with “override sun’s parameters”

Man… whatever they’re paying you is not enough! i never would have tried that.. you’re a star!

Re: Sun angle with “override sun’s parameters”

Thanks, I’ll forward that to my boss, but I think he’s fine with what he’s paying me  glad you got it worked out

Re: Sun angle with “override sun’s parameters”

To avoid this problem i check and unceck the “override sun´s parameter” box…
i think the result is the same…

Re: Sun angle with “override sun’s parameters”

I have same problem as Dave Dworkind
and I don’t know how to change it

I use Vray for sketchup V1.05 and physical camera

sorry for my poor English :-\
