WIP Light and Space (updated)

Hi guys started this render as a light study but saw the potential for more. I am currently thinking of what else i could do to complete and improve the scene any comments are welcome.

Simple with a bit of postprocessing

Added texturing and objects still a simple space but with more grunge and as usual comments are welcome.

Re: WIP Light and Space

pretty nice image chisel.
it looks pretty realistic
i think you could improve your settings, and also increase the reflection layer multiplier of the wood, cause there’s a little bit of noise there

Re: WIP Light and Space

Thanks for the reply Steve, the settings were not yet set to a final render quality. I agree with you on the timber flooring will make that adjustment for the updated post.

Re: WIP Light and Space

Chisel , good job

i like your curtain , do you use VRAY2SIDEDMTL for this curtain ?

Re: WIP Light and Space

it looks like a hotel hall. very nice.
simplicity is what makes this so good.
could you share the plant please?

Re: WIP Light and Space

Yes robert111 the i used the two-sided material to create translucent effect. Thanks for the kind words

Re: WIP Light and Space

Sookie thanks for the comment i was going for a simple feel but for some reason it still looks unfinished as a render so i am still playing around with the scene will post an update soon. BTW the plant can be found here http://www.flyingarchitecture.com/

Re: WIP Light and Space

thanks chisel
can you make VRAY2SIDEDMTL setting for your the curtain plz

Re: WIP Light and Space

Like like “facebook style”. I think correct the verticality distortion.

Re: WIP Light and Space (updated)

One more thing the image was not renderd at a very high resolution as this was a theoretical project.

Re: WIP Light and Space (updated)

great improvement!

Re: WIP Light and Space (updated)

Re: WIP Light and Space (updated)

nice study - renders downloaded.

Re: WIP Light and Space (updated)

Thanks for the comments guys im glad it came out this well, i will keep doing some studies to improve my skills its better practice than on a job cause you are not bombarded by the time line for production. I found that it helps to design the scene first with an intention as to the mood and feel then do research taking references from images that convey the mood. Cheers
