Hi guys, Some of you might say that it was discussed so many times before, but I believe that still not enough :slight_smile: The more we test the better understanding we have about how Vray works with i7 and Xeon CPUs. So I did this pretty simple interior scene for CPU testing. Here’s what I go…

Time: 5 min 30s. CPU: single xeon x5670 @2 ,93Ghz (no OC) Vray: 3.00.05 Max: 2014 Win: 7 Embree: OFF Time: 3 min 59s. CPU: single xeon x5670 @2 ,93Ghz (OC: 4,1Ghz) Vray: 3.00.05 Max: 2014 Win: 7 Embree: OFF

Time: 6m15.2 CPU: 3770K 4.50 yes OC Version: V-ray 2.50.01 Max: 2014 OS: Win7 pro x64

Time: 2 min 6s. CPU: DUAL xeon x5670 @2 ,93Ghz (OC: 4,1Ghz) Vray: 3.00.05 Max: 2014 Win: 7 Embree: OFF

Did you had any chance to try out the dual but without OC? Or we just divide your previous single by 2 :wink: Stan

This is not different machines (everything is on a single i7-4771 @ 3.50 GHz), but it might be interesting to put things from another perspective: V-Ray 3.00.08 - 5m 57s V-Ray 3.10.01 - 4m 16s V-Ray 3.10.01 with Embree - 3m 47s Best regards, Vlado
