Just two images ive done to a speed challenge from a forum.

At these challenges we have the kind of thing we should model and the maximum time for modeling ...
The first one is a pixar model and the second a knife ...

phmeier, i like your models so much.. that knife's material i think needs reworking. using chrome material perhaps. the pixar model need some specular refelctions too.

                  Project: Philharmonic Concert Hall

I know this render needs a makeover. any tips on making this look better?
I am still not sure about rendering high poly cars, or just clip mapping it. c&c people

moreover, I dont have a huge library of materials(skies etc) im still compiling

                    Hi ARTUPATO,
Nice design and materials. Few comments:
This render is overexposed. You can see it by the burned places like the front/middle facade, also the chrome/reflective handrails got those white spots all-over.
You can make the facade more interesting by giving it something (environment) to reflect (Via HDR or this method)
For better looking cars and not low poly I like to use those: http://www.marlinstudios.com/product...ic/traffic.htm

thanks 40th.so thats why the railings got spots.that explains it.
In this scene I tried using physical sun and sky, film speed at 300,f-stop 8, and ISO at 150.. as far as i can remember. hehe. I am trying to get a nice exterior shot but I fail, moreover, I submitted this already to my professor but I can render this scene again.

                        thanks for the links 40th
