This is also during the vray benchmark (oc With 3950 and 1,2375v):

You will need to check for bios updates, if you have the most up to date one, you will need to clear CMOS
This is done by shutting down your system and using the reset button, located at the buttom right of your board
After that, lets try the default setting with just RAM OC
And sorry for the late reply, I was not in office in the last few days

Simply use it oder it here a trick? Like hold it for 10secs or so? Because the manual says I need to use the CMOS reset jumper which is buried beneath my GPU.

Yeah, you should use the Jumper sorry..with thinking about a different board
make sure that the PC is off...should be around 15 seconds or so
Do you know if you have the most up to date bios?

            Yes it's the latest. I double-checked.
I cleared cmos and only set the ram to 3200 and its voltage to 1.4v.
Now it loads 3200 again... most of the times at least but not every time I'm afraid. Maybe it was like that before but I started it 15 times the first time I used these settings and it was always 3200.

Well, defaults. Never over 70° but 3.3 GHz under load.
And its hot here today. I think it is about 28° in the room currently, and we'll unfortunately reach up to 37-38 today.

Try 3.8 GHz with 1.225 volts, shouldn't be much higher
If temps are higher, put it back
                  Turn off PBO like always

                      Hi Muhammed_Hamed

first thank you very much for all your hard ware suggestions and help in the past. Also reading your answers at all this threads here helps a lot.

At the moment I try to optimize my new hardware and I ask me, is it right, that the Corsair h150i is at 40°C only if the 2950x is at 80°C? Or is this a sign for a bad connection between CPU and cooler modul? I got my system installed by the computer parts seller. Could I get better values if I use a special thermally conductive compound? What is your experience at this topic?

At the moment I use 3.8GHz with 1.225 volts.

I found an old thermal conductive compound and replaced the default compound. Now the temps are better.

Hi Micha You will need to be careful with the thermal compound, other than that it should be fine
What temps you are getting now?
80 degrees are very high to my taste, it should be around 70 degrees max with that OC

At the moment during a longer rendering I get around 80°C at 3.7GHz and 1.225V. I used an old Noctua NT-H1 compound (~5 years), it was quite tough. Should I better buy a new compound?

do you use hybird rendering, so stressing both GPU and CPU at the same time?
How many fans you have in your case?
And do you have AC in your room?
80 is safe, but should be around 70 or so with this cooler

No, I don't used hybrid rendering in this case. I use an open case and no case fans. The room temps in the area of the computer could be around 28°C. At the morning, if the room is at 21°C I get 74°. I think to buy a fresh thermal compound which is more fluid. Maybe the layer is to thick.
