Pics are fun, but can be, and often are, misleading.
Buggy and unfinished builds are even more misleading....i can already see ppl building scenes with the beta that dont open with the final and brag till the end of the world :P

Considering the "It doesnt have to be supported, nor is anyone forced to do so"...Come on...be honest....everyone would go for a play...and if it is officially supported or not it will still cause a flood of "questions" and a big part would be "user problems" not bug reports....i dont say YOU would do so....but a lot would.

    Just my two cents.

Well, well, that pirate sight is down. Yoho!

I posted several messages on their boards and they got deleted immediately! I guess the truth hurts! HA!

I wouldn't wanna break it as a first, but the net itself is RIFE with blogs (sic!) with that version of vray.

Hard to stay away from it...
          But we'll manage.

What I don't understand is why we get messages saying 1.5 is almost complete. Last time it was complete but the dongle required some more time, lots of paperwork. Now vlado tells us the current build is 'buggy and incomplete'. I really don't believe you honestly think already for a year 'oh now it will be almost done'.

Why did you start releasing the 1.45 versions then? They were also very different from 1.09, and now with 1.5 we will again need to adjust to the new core which probably requires other settings too. So why didn't you skip these releases to protect us from learning stuff that will be different in 1.5?

Simply release a bug and todo list so we can really see how nearly finished it is.

I think you misread Vlado's words, he said the version floating around is buggy and incomplete.

Ok, could be indeed. But if the current build is now so complete, none of the reasons for not releasing it still hold. Because then there are no major bugs anymore, nothing will drastically change, there are no unknowns and no backwards compatibility problems.

I was a bit confused by what Vlado said too, the other day he said he was for a point release! I put it to just being angry about the leak...

Flipside - you said exactly what is my frustration about as well - so complete for almost a year ... none of us can survive this "presure"
