I emailed them to see if I can get to subscription from my box license. I paid €430.00 for my box license V-Ray and the same for Corona, so I am invested. I don't see a way to upgrade to Plus, so I am confused. If I have to go to subscription, that is fine, but I think I should be able to cash in on what I already have invested.

is studio licensing for multi person studios or is that just one license?

I think it is one license. The studio gets you a license for all the render engines.

I have to say, I feel dissed. I mean, I have purchased Box licenses for both V-Ray and Corona, so I am stuck here forever? There is no path from Box to Studio+?

He logged into my machine and installed the update for me. I am not seeing what's different, but I haven't had much time yet.

The website clearly states that box licenses are eligible for future paid upgrades to major versions. Are you able to purchase this v1 to v2 upgrade from your account?

Yeah, that didn't settle very well with me, so I reached out to them. I would do the same if you purchased the box.

I briefly scrolled through and I didn’t see anything new, but I literally spent 30 seconds. I’ll have to read the release notes.

New materials in v.2.0.0 (V-Ray, Corona) about 80: Parquet panels, wood, concrete, elastomers (rubbers)... In progress: marble, granite, limestone, basalt, onyx, quartzite, travertine, sandstone...

What is a little odd is that nowhere on the website is there any information about exactly what materials are present, only a few examples out of the advertised amount. So how do I know what I'm buying?
I would like to see a list of current materials to assess whether I would (possibly) need 1000 colour variations of granite or leather and a just a few other random unique materials.

This thing has changed names and versions so many times, I wonder who can still keep up. I'll be waiting for the Vray material library to organize my own.

It has been my go-to library and he has always been good to me. I highly recommend the library, but yes, the upgrade is vague.

i wont be touching it. no info for studio wide licenses and i dont like node locked licenses.
no previews of all materials either, reckon better to spend time and money getting a good substance library together cos the 80 new woods could be the same one with 20 different hues!
