    A little news
VMPPmax4 major new feature (will be available in new minor update VMPPmax v.4.1.5) - thumbnail/preview rendering automation.
    Now at test stage.

VMPPmax4 recognizes material type. If it is Texmap - new VRayMtl will be created and texmap will be added to the Diffuse slot. Only for VRayHDRI with spherical mapping uses separate scene to render previews as reflective ball (context menu: HDRI Preview). Can be used custom scene. By default is used into VMPPmax4 included Material Lab scenes (in Settings dialog you can select type/units/size, output size) or use own custom scene.

          Thanks Regimantes, done!

By the way, can we please get some copper patina material of various ages in the next update?
New, it looks just like any normal copper. But stick it on a roof and in a couple of years:

I'm new to the Siger system - I've visited their website and do not see much to show or explain to me what this is and how this library works - the design of the site seems to assume you know what is for sale and that it doesn't need explaining !

Yet, here I read many of you saying how wonderful it is !

            Nothing much on YouTube either.....

            I need to see a video !

Please can you offer something for us neanderthals

PS the funny names (VMPPmax etc) don't exactly help either !

            Rant over

PS - It is a Materials Pre-Set Library - that much I do know

                Thanks Regimantas,

Please can you enlighten me regarding our company, who is very new to having Visualisation in house - I am their sole Visualiser, and I mostly work from the office (computer in the office), though sometimes from home (my computer from home).

I don't think my company would want to purchase two licenses for me, the one user !!!

Please can you explain in our circumstances what the purchasing procedure would be ?

                Many thanks.

                  Hi,

                  Quick question to Regimantas or those using it;

Do most materials use the vrayedge technique to create rounded edges? I use it for a lot of my own materials and wouldn't want to have to edit the VMPP materials to add this. For example metals, ceramics, concrete, paint, plastic, etc would be ones I would have it on.

Another question, I think in the older version you had tiling. Are you going to add new versions or are the old ones also available in V4?

                  Thanks!

Unfortunately, the license key of VMPPmax is locked to a computer hardware and can't be used by other machine. Please send me email support(at)sigershop.eu and we try to solve this issue

                      Hi,
                      1. VRayEgdesTex not used in VMPPmax materials.
                      2. New materials in VMPPmax4 will be added step by step in minor updates. Also you can use older (v.3.x) VMPPmax (available for download for all VMPPmax4 users via site menu Downloads > VMPPmax) in parallel with v.4.x

Is it just me, or does all the sample balls in max look DARKER than the rendered samples inside the VMPP UI?
I find it with most of them like that...

This is a completely worthless upgrade if you intend to use GPU for rendering. It uses it's "free" plugins like ComplexFresnel that is a re-canned versions of what already exist natively, and used in places were it makes absolutely no sense.

Sigger ComplexFresnel = VRayOSLTex with + Color Correction.

Yes I find that the VMPP is worthless when I want to use GPU rendering. It would be really easy to create those sets ready for both render engins.
GPU rises more and more every day, it's already been part of Vray for years now, it just make NO SENSE to release a material library in 2016 (and soon 2017) that is not compatible with both render engins.

VMPP replacement. XSMP (XS Material Presets) for 3ds Max is a continuation of plugins family: V-Ray Material Presets Pro (VMPP), Corona Material Presets Pro (CMPP) and Material Repository Pro (MRP).

New website. VMPP v.4.x purchases moved to the new accounts at new site.
If you not receive notification email about new account, please contact us. Some accounts not moved if your account info incomplete (not specified address, country). It is important for new licensing system Activation Key.
