@ imaabzeous: In the 2nd half of this tutorial Fernando will do a night scene render (background / light set-up ets):

          @ Madya: Check these tutorials:

@Skif: I found this tutorial explaining parameters regarding 'color mapping':

          - http://translate.google.com/translate?u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.treddi.com%2Fforum%2F index.php%3Fshowtopic%3D21451&langpair=it|en&hl=it &ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&prev=%2Flanguage_tools

          Hope it helps! Good luck.

Could someone explain how to do a perforated material? I'm using the brushed_copper.vismat (from the download area) as a starting base. Just a simple perforation pattern would sufice. I keep trying and trying...no luck. Please help me out guys. Thanks.

perhaps add displacement to create the perforating effect on you brushed copper vismat.

Today I was creating a rock sticking up through the water. I tried to simulate the part of the rock that is close to the water's edge being wet through vray material layers. I didn't have too much luck I'm afraid. Does anyone know how if it's possible without having to add a different texture for the part that is closest to the water?

This is a part of the image.

I thought I would have some luck with adding a reflection layer with either a dirt map acting as filter or maybe a TexFalloff adjusted to WorldZ. Obviously I want the "lowest" part of the rock to be darker and more reflective and it would be cool if that could be done in the vray material editor. Any ideas how to do it?

I added it in post, which isn't a big deal, but it would be nice knowing how to do it in vray.

I´m looking for a good tutorial to create a realistic fur carpet and material for it in Sketchup and V-Ray Next...i haven´t found anything useful at the moment. If anybody has a link or suggestions how to get a great realistic result, i would appreciate that a lot!
