Hey guys... great stuff with the benchmarks.... very interesting,
I had a good look through, but it appears no-one is running a pair of Opteron 265's ..... any chance anyone that has a pair can run this benchmark?
Also..... One thing the test doesn't look into, is how well vray is able to multithread motionblur and DOF... The reason I bring this up, is that I was wondering if all aspects of Vray scale equally well on multi-core systems. Any ideas.
Thanks again!.Patrick Macdonald

nobody out there running a pair of 265's?
I've been advised that a pair of 252's would offer better performance. Is there any truth to this?
I'd really appreciate it if anyone with either of these systems could perform a quick (I'd expect under 4mins) test with either of these two setups?Patrick Macdonald

You guessed it, 265s are dual core (the entry level dual opteron) I have some so I'll do a test soon, i bet dual core Athlons are better bang for the buck but we'll see Mind you the mobo handles 16GB of RAM so once Vray 64 is out I'll demand a rematch!

People on page #10 don't seem to be reading my post on page #3.
Here is the chart again. Notice $$ as of July 19th. I am sure things have changed by now.
