Hey guys... great stuff with the benchmarks.... very interesting,
I had a good look through, but it appears no-one is running a pair of Opteron 265's ..... any chance anyone that has a pair can run this benchmark?
Also..... One thing the test doesn't look into, is how well vray is able to multithread motionblur and DOF... The reason I bring this up, is that I was wondering if all aspects of Vray scale equally well on multi-core systems. Any ideas.
Unless the opterons are dual core opterons they wont beat an X2 for instance.
So if those opterons are dual core they will be pretty quick,
(also im too lazy to search to find out if those 2 you mentioned are dual core.. hehe)
You guessed it, 265s are dual core (the entry level dual opteron) I have some so I'll do a test soon, i bet dual core Athlons are better bang for the buck but we'll see Mind you the mobo handles 16GB of RAM so once Vray 64 is out I'll demand a rematch!
