Bug in VFB - when at maximized zoom (1600) and then goes to smth not 100% (for 3% or whatever) then I cant' go back to 100%, only to 96%. It's because the step is smaller (3-6-12-24-48-96 OR 1-2-4-8-16-32-64-12. So I need to go back to 1600%, to reset step size. It starts from 25 - you can't divide it by two
... the "invert" option for maps dosn't stick. After reopen the material or the scene, the option is disabled
I'm not having this issue. Could you provide me exact details to reproduce this problem?
I've made a sphere and created a material. Then set the diffuse map as a noise texture with inverted selected. I then saved the file out - closed Rhino - reopened Rhino - loaded file - and everything was the way it was saved. Am I misunderstanding your problem?
I know there seems to be some problems with .jpegs not appearing in the preview area of the diffuse section, but I've just opened an old file created in Release 2 and pressed render (no changes or alterations).
The render completed and everything is fine apart from the .jpeg image used is very 'washed out' when compared to the render completed under R2? I've tried to play around with the 'diffuse image' multipliers without any success?
Any thoughts?
Update: It seems that the 'diffuse colour' has a greater impact on the .jpeg image colour than in R2?! - I've just changed the 'diffuse' colour from mid grey to solid black and all is well?!

Hmmm, it works here on my notebook. I will test it at on my other machine next week.
I have a rhino color chooser problem. I try to set a black color with light brown touch. So I try to set HSV 31-8-32. But if I reopen the chooser, the hue value is jumped to another value. I see now, it's impossible to get the values I'm looking for.
Center bias ... I would like to get a vignetting effect, but I see no effect of the parameter. At the Vray online help I can not find suggestions for the value of the parameter - 0.1 or 100000?
I have the "overwrite and wrong named objects" bug:
- open a new scene
- create a new material
- rename from "defaultmaterial" to "a"
- assign material
- open object material properties and look at the name -> "a"
- now go to the material editor and add bump image texture
- lock at the object material name -> "DefaultMaterial" linked to "a"
So, if more than one object activate this bug, different object with different previous materials are linked to one "DefaultMaterial" and the previous material is deleted. Please, fix this bug so fast as possible and make little updated release. The bug is very critical for a serious work here. Everytime if I edit a material, I must afraid that I lost materials in my scene. So often I have recreate material now - is very difficult to work now.
Please help and don't wait for the final release in a week or longer.

Thanks for figuring that out Micha - your a genius =) It was a silly oversight of mine with the bump materials naming. Sorry for the inconveniance

I'm not sure - from our internal testing I've been told it works. I guess we will look into it again.
Thats odd - I don't really know what that is. It almost looks like there is a checker texture or something mapped there.
Yes there's some procedurals, I cleared 'em, but smth weird happened and it started to look like this.
Did you forget to update the preview? I don't see how you would get that preview based on the values shown in your image. Let me know if you find a repeatable way to get this problem
- create a simple table: four legs and a plate
- save it as table.3dm
- new scene: insert block table.3dm
- copy the table a few times
- rotate the copies
- render per Vray
