I create a pointlight and the sliders work, but a new directional and they don't. I canenter the value manually, but I think it might be a bug.

Intensity slider? I guess this isn't a V-Ray light - I'll take a look at the code to make sure I'm reading in Rhino lights properly. Thanks for the heads-up.

If I assign a material to a selected object per material properties browse button, than other objects as the selected one get the material too. It seems to be, that all objects of the layer get the new assigned material.

Should this happen on the default layer? If I just create two spheres on the default layer and apply a material to the one I have selected via the "Browse" button it only puts the material on the selected one. You are not using the browse button from the layer material dialog?

THIS file crashes Rhino. Sometimes it produces an RCM error log but not always. It gives exception error messages in the Vray message window.

Ok I'll see what I can find out about it - thanks

                Gjis,

I've been unable to reproduce that crash on my machines. Does it crash every time you try to render that scene? Also - does it crash on other GI methods than LC?

In the last days I have setup a computer mouse model. Today I have got the finished model and I have try to import all materials. I don't like to save 12 materials and to reimport all material after material (look at my last wish please), so I have create 12 small placeholder planes and assign my materials. Than I have copy the planes and paste in the new rhinofile. But the materials are not imported. In previous version it was working fine.

Emitter materials send light in both directions allways. Is it a bug? If not, than it is wish, that "double side" could be used to control it.

Ok - I'll add this to my list.

                      [edit]
It seems they will only import if a material by that name already exists in the scene (then the import material dialog pops up) So as a workaround you could just make sure that materials by there names exist in the scene and then overwrite them. Apparently my logic has a flaw in it somewhere that prevents it from bringing in totally new materials.

I'm not sure if thats a bug or not - I'll write it down anyway for further investigation.

I can not setup a glass material with refraction IOR 1. If I do it, than the reflections are killed. In the previous releases refraction and reflection was independent.

I'm not quite sure I follow. Reflection and refraction are still independent of each other.

I tested a scene using V-Ray for Max and it renders the same as in V-Ray for Rhino.

What is your conclusion? A Vray core bug or are the IORs dependent now?

Reflection and refraction iors should be separate. I'll look into it further. You aren't experiancing issues with separate IORs except for the case of Refraction IOR = 1.0 ?
