    I would be nice if you could provide beside the list of fixed bugs, also a list of known bugs that are not yet fixed.

      Yes that would be nice - the readme files are generally very last-minute so there isn't as much information as there should be.

          I'm guessing there may be a missing dll dependency perhaps. I thought I had packaged them all in there. If you download Dependency Walker and then go to File->Open and point it to our drspawner.exe it should tell you if there are any missing dependencies (they will show up in red). Could you run that on your machine and tell me what the result looks like? Feel free to private message me if you need a little help getting Dependency Walker up and running properly.
          Note> If try to run program on another computer (WinXP Pro SP2, CPU ATHLON 3500+ 64bit), the program runs, but the render is with white square - but this problem can be do by problems between 32bit and 64bit CPUs, Becose Rhino 4 with VRay runs on CPU Centrino 1,5GH 32bit.
          64bit and 32bit cpus won't work together right now with the dr spawner. Its an error in the VRay sdk that I believe should be resolved by our next release.

              If I use the "purge unused materials" function of the material editor, than sub materials of two sided materials are purged too.

                  The two sided materials based on two standard materials (front/back). If the two sided material is assigned to an object and the user purge unused materials, than the two standard materials (fron/back - only used for the two sided material)will be deleted and the two sided material dosn't work anymore.

                    Ok - so the 2sided material shouldn't have been purged at all. Gotcha.

                      I've been meaning to post this one for ages. I get a crash/instability when I try to use either cylinderical or capped cylindrical mapping. Esspecially when using image based textures. It has also occureed with proceedural textures.

                        No, not the 2sided material is deleted, the sub materials of the 2sided material are deleted and shouldn't have been purged.

                        2sided = front material + back material

                        after usage "purge ..":

                        2sided = ? + ?

                          Any reason why for the last 4 days I haven't been able to download the V-ray for Rhino v4 BETA 2?

                          When I click on the Download link it tells me: "The document is being edited/updated by an user and is unavailable at this moment."

                          I am very keen to start testing it out, and would prefer to be using the latest beta.

                              I'm playing around with Vray for Rhino 4 and started off with the tutorial, Quick Start for Rhino. My results below do not match the results of the tutorial. I left everything at its default, other than what the tutorial said to change.

                              Why are my results so different?

                                Hi Bill,

                                if I understand right, the last beta set a physical sky per default. If you like to get the same result, you should set the environment to simple white color (go to the "M" of the env map and set texture type to "none"). Your example use an additional directional light (the sun?) and the tutorial use an env color only.

                                The tutorials are for VfRhino 3 and not up to date for the Rhino 4 betas. I suppose so, they will be updated if the Rhino 4 SR is ready.
