Yes it's a bit quiet indeed, also from the developers side. Summer's almost over so... They could at least give us a clue of what's going on?AMD Ryzen 9, RTX 2080Super, ArchiCAD 24, Vectorworks 2020, Sketchup 2021 Pro, Vray Next for Sketchup, Skatter, Twinmotion 2020

The Vray forum on Sketchucation is pretty active. I think that we might have lost a few folks along the way that were not patient enough for this new release. Some went over to Maxwell and some use other engines that have come along in the last year. The loyal users will stick around and wait for the new release. My guess is that Vray for Rhino was never really that popular which is probably why they waited so long to update their version. I would think that Rhino is not as widely used as VRay. I might be wrong though.Matthew Valero, ASAI

Hey everyone, sorry for being so quiet, we have had our noses to the grindstone lately. Here's a few quick notes: Dome Light has been added, tons of optimizations and speed improvements, RT has been added for the most part, some upgrade issues that have been around for a while have been fixed, 60-70 cases in our bug tracker have been resolved in the past 4 months, and we're still chugging away!Best regards,

Dome Light! RT! Thanks for the update, good to hear you guys (maybe also girls) are busy getting Sketchup on par with Rhino (and maybe further?). Still no ETA?AMD Ryzen 9, RTX 2080Super, ArchiCAD 24, Vectorworks 2020, Sketchup 2021 Pro, Vray Next for Sketchup, Skatter, Twinmotion 2020

Are we looking at faster parsing times? The lull from clicking the render button is torture sometimes when doing test renders. I guess with RT that will not matter much though. It's just that I have seen VR in Max and you click render and it instantly opens the VFB and starts the light cache.Matthew Valero, ASAI

ValeroStudio, do you have a good example of a scene that takes entirely too long to parse? There have been some speedups, but we haven't really had much benchmarking done yet. I'd be glad to try one out if you can send one over to our bug tracker (vfswip@chaosgroup.com). I recommend zipping the file first.Best regards,
