I installed chaos vantage in all possible ways (i made sure live link installation is checked) but I cannot find in Max customize the toolbar chaos vantage so to work with the export to vantage or import from vantage very helpful scripts.
I have both 3ds max 2020 and 2021 installed but in non of them i can find the scripts.

The scripts should be accessible from ||Customize|| > Customize User Interface > Toolbars > Chaos Vantage

After installing i can t find the group chaos Vantage in catergories customize toolbar in 3ds max
Are both 3ds max 2020 and 2021 installed in their default folders:
- C:\Program Files\Autodesk\3ds Max 2020
- C:\Program Files\Autodesk\3ds Max 2021
Also do the following folders exist:
- %localappdata%\Autodesk\3dsMax\2020 - 64bit\ENU\usermacros
- %localappdata%\Autodesk\3dsMax\2021 - 64bit\ENU\usermacros
In those 2 folders the scripts should be installed.
Can you please send us the following file C:\Program Files\Chaos Group\Vantage\uninstall\install.log?

Here you can find the install log.
Both Max installed in the folders you mentioned
and both folders exist but inside I can find no chaos vantage mcr.
Are there these scripts separately that you can send so that I install the scripts by draging in max as it used to be with script import lavina changes to max?

Are you by any chance using a localized version of 3ds Max? We found a bug handling other versions of 3ds Max except the English one. The max script files should be installed in the folders as Alexander specified:
%localappdata%\Autodesk\3dsMax\2020 - 64bit\[B]ENU[/B]\usermacros
%localappdata%\Autodesk\3dsMax\2020 - 64bit\[B]ENU[/B]\usericons
where ENU indicates this is the English version of 3ds Max.
Let us know if that is the case please.

Install the script as administrator?
Still an issue. I still have to install it almost every time I need to use it.

Have you tried to completely uninstall/install 3ds Max? Since the other suggested methods didn’t work, I believe something in the registries got completely broken and are not working properly and are only working(or get cached properly) when Vantage is installed and then after a reopen/restart get deleted or broken or something similar. The very very very last thing I would try is to reinstall Windows(which is something I would not recommend so easily, I know the hassle that follows with installing all software afterwards ). You can also set another team viewer session request with the support before that using the https://support.chaos.com/.
