nomeradona thanks man, i thought in that, but i cant get nice results in vray for sketchup with caustics, i dont know what happens, but caustics on vray for sketchup dont work how it would do, and the reflection caustics dont work propper never, my english is not so good. Try to make work the reflection on a ring work, i can`t do that on vray for sketchup, others softwares i can make.

Interesting design, but it's not clear what materials are applied to it. Or is it a concept model?

here is a little material test, transparent plastic, glass, and opake plastic.
You're most welcome .
Good test you got there, caustics would make it a lot better. I didn't got to learn about caustics, so i can't give you nay advices.
But i have few tutorials on CAUSTICS, so if you want to take a look at it here are they:

lepius, i think your USB needs some reflection.
arkz, if you have smooth and subdivide plugin, you can smooth the surface.
ande.. nice cups, wanna try to produce caustics.
Thank you for your comment, what can i improve to make it 10 ?

Yeah im gonna join the group of people that have trouble with caustics. I look at the caustics produced by vray for max and it never seems like SU can do that. I could be wrong, but does SU+vray calculate caustics the same as vray for max. Does it have to do with the way SU handles geometries?

i think caustic is working, it seems very difficult to tweak. there is a tutorial at vray thino and it is really useful but as i have tried before, it has caustic and damien has even gave some good hints under the discussion forum.

here is my try. as you can see caustic on the rim are present. later i will do some other models and see also.

Refract caustics seams to work, not so good as the others softwares like 3ds max, or maya, etc. I know caustics, and i can make it on others renders, but vray for sketchup dont work!

There is a simple test make a ring and try to make that effect with the caustics i`ve posted, it work very easy on all softwares, but vray for sketchup dont work.

I think the wood material got a nice reflection. But I think the USB stick need some more.
