    thank's guys

here's a little update here, nose wider and longer and a quick sticky lips effect added and changed the skin tone (maybe too tanned now..) . Also tried an other lighting, I started a render over night with some more modification I made to the forehead, side of the nose etc, let's see tomorrow how it will look.

The skin is looking a little greasy compared to the older ones. hair is perfect though, great work!

          Looking brilliant. Love your work.

I noticed a bit of uncanny valley in the latest two postings. I spent a bit of time trying to figure out what it was exactly.

I think technically it's fine (cg wise) but what was throwing me off was the default expression. I realise you haven't rigged up the model yet and maybe that's all it was.

          I had a side by side headshot of Natalie Portman open;
          http://images4.fanpop.com/image/phot...-1458-2000.jpg

You can see Portman has slightest of expressions. Almost like a smirk set on 2%

I think this is what was causing the valley with your latest. Perhaps CG wise I'd agree with Neilg that it might be a little too much "grease" on the skin as well.

Keep this coming, one of the best looking projects I've seen in a while.

              Hi all,

Here's an update. I removed the make up to fix a bit the neutral expression ( but.. as I saw with a rig it could had been done easily and mush faster..) and I tweaked more the hair shader, trying to correct some weakness of the vray hair shader. I also lowered the eyebrows, thickned the eyelash for the unmakuped version.. I also tweaked eyes surronding socket color ,etc so some minor tweak here and there.. and yes I may add some scars later.

The earring are just a test.. I will do some shorter one so it do not have to interact with the hairs once rigged..

              More to come soon.

                Here's an update.

I modified the diffuse, I put back the original eyelash shader ( I may do some very subtil tweaks..)
here : (not the same lighting though but similar) .. BTW I removed the facial hairs and hairs since it's just a test render.

Next update I want to add some more details popping out of the skin.. and some scars.. I hate working on that girl in Zbrush.. so slowwww lol.

Cgfeedback is compressing a LOT the image.. so here's an uncompress one..

That's really good - is the skin detail bump/normal map or displacement? Or just geometry?

                  Best regards,
                  Vlado

Hi Vlado I'm glad you like it

Skin details is mostly 2d displacement from Zbrush. I have only a procedural bump ( in the style I asked you if you can do something like that ). The sculpt in Zbrush was 14 millions polygons so I have loads of details in the high frequency.

I had to fake a GGX kind of reflection since it's still not in the latest vray 3.0.08 , why is it not there? I would had like to try it And also, I'm asking for it again ^^ can you please make an option in all the lights, dome, omni, etc like in Vray for maya so we can adjust the power of the reflection of that light? pleaseee otherwise I have to duplicate all my lights... really annoying :S

Because it is not fully done yet - we only recently added a parameter to control the highlight tail falloff (the gamma parameter of the GTR BRDF) and also we need to add support for it in V-Ray RT GPU. It is included in the service pack though. I can get you a nightly build if you want to play with it.

I understand about the lights, it has been on the "to do" list for a long time now. Will try to get to it finally - although I'm sure then someone will again say that V-Ray has become overly complicated...

                      Best regards,
                      Vlado

Ho yes I would really like to test the GGX Vlado so I'm in for sure for the Nightly build ))))
I'll show you some render done with it, I'm curious to see what I can get out of it! especially since you added control for the tail it's wonderfull

Please Vlado don't think too much about beginners, they just have to learn it... and having an option for the reflection power it's not something complicated.. like let's say DMC ^^
To me, and probably most peoples, more options ( of course usefull option like that one) is always welcome since it's giving the user more control and or more possibility, etc.

Alright then, can you email me to vlado@chaosgroup.com with the version of 3ds Max that you are using so that I can get you a download link?

Yeah, I was joking about the options

                          Best regards,

I really like her without make up ! As I always say, the best make up is the one you don't notice, you could meditate on that, Lol.
I'm impressed by your work, really.

                                ok and here ?

I constrated the diffuse and bring back the color variation I had.
Modified the orientation of the hdri map and desaturated it.. and activated the GI for that test.. still no facial hairs too long to render :P
