The dog was an experiment, but I'll remove it. The foreground stuff is in MAX, but I agree, they look cut/paste. I think I have the can lights too bright, so there isn't enough contrast.Bobby Parker

Half the glow / glare on it, the rest is looking good - perhaps the hue of the green looks a bit neon?
A lot of compers I've worked with won't use a single glow / glare on any of their images - they'll use three. A very tight one at a pretty high amount, a medium size one at half of the tight one, then a very broad one at a tiny amount.

good advice! I knew it was too much, but knowing the scene will change, I didn't worry much about it. This ws 20%; taken from a V-Ray Gloom element.Originally posted by joconnell View PostHalf the glow / glare on it, the rest is looking good - perhaps the hue of the green looks a bit neon?

Once I get the light info for the lights over the island, I'll post an update. The water fixture is accurate, but might be too big for the space.Bobby Parker

One thing that confuses me is the difference in render times between these two images. Literally, the first one took twice as long, however everything is identical, except the perspective, of course. I know, I am closer to some shining things, but the same shining things are in both views. Same camera, material, light, and V-Ray settings.Bobby Parker
