Is there any error or warning in it?

        ...
Yes, it's normal with the new dynamic noise threshold. Every time the threshold is reduced, the number of active pixels (the white pixels in the SampleRate RE) increases.

        or

        A) What's the difference of leaving it run for longer and leave it same time but change the AA and Noise?
It probably needs more time. You can see the current noise threshold in the render messages. If it hasn't reached the final threshold, decreasing the noise threshold in the settings won't change anything for the same render time.
Increasing the max AA subdivs also won't change anything, not before the sampler completes at least 10000 passes. 40 passes completed equal to about 6 subdivs, so it's nowhere near 100.
Anyway, it would be best if you can send us the scene.

        Best regards,
        Radoslav

                    • Please post new issues in separate threads in the Problems section

                      Hello guys,

Because this thread is becoming a mess already; can you please start new threads for issues that you encounter with the beta? The "Problems" section of the forum is ideal for it. Thanks! I really appreciate the feedback

                      Best regards,

                        Blagovest,

I sent you the scene for testing. So far CPU seems to be going faster than GPU now, something is wrong. I used this scene on 3.2 RT with exceptional speeds.

                        Vlado,

What would be the time frame for getting the Vray RT with the old method so I would be able to use it and test it for production. Also I never got access to the nightlies, I was told a couple of months ago I would.

You can do that even now:

                          a) Go to Start menu > Chaos Group > V-Ray RT for 3ds Max > Start V-Ray RT render server.
                          b) Turn on distributed rendering for V-Ray RT; turn off the "Use local host" option and add "127.0.0.1" as the render server.

Also I never got access to the nightlies, I was told a couple of months ago I would.
Actually I think we did give you access. If you go to nightlies.chaosgroup.com and log in with your user name and password for the download section on our web site, you should be able to see the builds. If not, let me know.

                          Best regards,

                          • I checked everything and everything was correct. So, I ran a script that kind of sets up my scene, and now it looks good. I went over the settings and nothing changed, so I don't know what happened.

                            V-Ray Gamma 2.2
                            MAX Gamma 2.2
                            VFB sRGB checked
                            Fileoutgamma 2.2

This is how I had it and this is how the script has it. Strange, but all is good now.

                            • in the vray colormapping section, you can choose to apply the colormapping to the image (dropdown choice), and that's what you likely missed.
