It would be best to email support@chaosgroup.com and ask the guys for assistance - they will help you out.

Probabilistic Lights vs Full Lights Ev vs Adaptive Lights
              481 Lights

With just a quick glance it is obvious Adaptive Lights is cleaner by far in comparison with the Probabilistic Lights and also considerably faster.

I did not render full light with vray 3.5 because in testing it was really close to 3.40.03 so I canceled it in middle of the render. In addition, with this much light source, full lights are not in the same league with Probabilistic Lights and Adaptive Lights obviously.

              FULL RES

Sorry if I'm being stupid and/or blind, but where's the IPR option?

3.5 beta feels pretty awesome. Can't wait to use the actual release in production
Haven't tried it yet but will adaptive lights also work with portals? I mean, since portals are basically vrayLights I assume it will also speedup those. Would help me a lot with complicated scenes.

Here's a quick comparison of Grant Warick's shaderball with Vray RT 3.4 GPU and 3.5 GPU. Nice!

Yes, the GPU guys worked with Grant to make sure stuff renders better.

                            Hey,
Might be a silly question, but how can I enable the resume rendering with the progressive image sampler?
                            Thanks

                              Hey,

You have to activate V-Ray raw image file output in the frame buffer tab and check "Resumable rendering" below.
It will save the "resumable file" and then it will restart from where it was when pressing render again.

edit : or any output... Not only vrimg. Creating an output will make vray create an #outputname#.vrprog file

Tried both IPR and GPU rendering, IPR looks pretty solid already with light-medium scenes, haven't tried with heavy scenes yet.
GPU updates are also very impressive, rendering Grant's new shader scene it matches 98% cpu vs gpu!
Only thing i noticed is that it doesn't support the new glossy fresnel yet, are you guys planning in implementing it on beta 2?

Also how does one enable the set focus distance in RT? I have a vraycam, i right click on the vfb window » click set focus distance » click on some part of the image and nothing changes. I tried enabling "specify focus" on the cam but still the same result.
