Hmm, I think I spoke too soon. I thought you were complaining about the way it was displaying (which is upside down in your screenshot)

Something really weird happened. I deleted everything in the scene, then used the cleaner script to remove all the layers. Then I un-did all that. Now the Layer Explorer is only showing a small fraction of the objects that are in the scene. Even when I open and close it.

For some reason I am unable to display the object properties of buildings AE19_009_1982 and its instance AE19_009_1987.

Edit: oh, they were set to "By Layer" which is something I never use.

I have since collapsed all of these and merged them together, but it doesn't make a difference. I have deleted them all together, but again, still broken.

its madness! There seems to be no rhyme or reason behind the madness.

Export the whole scene to 3ds
Start a new 2015 scene and import the 3ds

I stripped all the materials, but still broken, so it isn't the materials causing the issue.

3DS Basically failed because to many faces on a lot of the objects. However, obj export gives me this error.

Also, bazaar. Hundreds of Particle Views, but you don't see them in the layer manager. I select them, invert and import, but they seem to show back up.

Bobby, do this: In the file as you posted it, in the selection floater select all the objects (to be safe just select the top one, hold shift and select the bottom one rather than clicking the "All" button). Then do Save As - Save Selected, and save to a new file. This should do the trick. It did on my end, any how.

I gave up, quit, and moved under a bridge; a lot less stressful. I'll try it later tonight, thanks.

Before I get my hopes up, did you toggle shade on/off? I thought I got it a few times, until a couple minutes into it.

Oh weird, whether or not I do that, when I save the file it becomes HUGE! It's 237 Mb from 74. But at least I don't have those particle view thingies when I attempt to merge it.

I am doing it now, but actually I already tried this once. I'll see what happens this time.
