Important V-Ray 1.5 announcement

It seems that with the new release of max 7 during SIGGRAPH vray 1.5 will be delayed even more, well we just have to wait some more.

I find this R7 release rumor a bit suspicious. The last word I got from discreet was a Siggraph announcement and an Occtober release if things went as scheduled. It seems very strange that there would be no official discreet announcement about a product a month away from release. Also, most of the threads pertaining to this rumor are now gone. From the few people I know who have seen this release (beta's) they said they would be suprprised if it was not delayed because of what they knew of it so far (I take that as a good sign of major stuff). If I were to expect anything to be released at siggraph it would be the Extensions to R6 that were said to be due out anytime now.

As for VRay, I too am anxious for it, but as was stated before, it is better to wait for a more stable product then jump the gun and implement a buggy componant into a production pipeline.

My discreet dealer informed me of the SIGGRAPH annoucement about a week before the "rumor" appeard on the web. I wouldn't be supprised to hear an annoucement at SIGGRAPH and a later ship date, like October or November. That would coincide nicely with the release of VRay 1.5.
