Heres an odd one - Not sure if it's been picked up? ...
I'll mess around with this, it could very well be a bug. Thanks
[Edit]
I haven't yet messed around with this, but just to be sure, you are trying to use a Bitmap texture for the bump map right? No other types of textures will work as bumps at this time. I'll add more to this post when I further investigate your problem.

Yes - I've retried it in a different scene with same result -
1. Bring in pre-saved material, add bump bitmap - result - no rendered 'bump'?
or
2. New material - add bump then try and change bitmap - result - object still has first bump. It's as if the bump map seems to 'stick' to object? (can't change)

It happened to me recently, that rhino freezes when I press the update button in the texture menu after assigning a hires (3000x1000) image.
Another thing, which is not exactly a bug but is giving me problems in a scene I am working on right now, is the fact that the hires textures I use are eating up my RAM like crazy (2Gigs installed) when the RAM usage exceeds 1,3 Gigs, Rhino crashes.
Is there a possibility to establish a solution for this, apart from lowering the texture size?
I also crashed when applying a hi-res background texture. I don't freeze, I get an RCM crash dump.
When I restart I can apply it no problem. Maybe the memory problem is cumulative?
Same here. Using hi-rez backgrounds I also get the crash dump. But curiously the 'dump' message mentions the 'Brazil' render has had problems'. Very strange as I've never had 'Brazil' anywhere near this PC??
I think it's something to do with the RCM being developed while Brazil was, or by the same programmers?
That's the crash I've been getting all along, and it has always happened when adjusting jpeg textures.
There is an HDR issue where some HDR images eat up enormous amounts of memory. I have informed Vlado about this and given him a couple test HDRs that cause the problem on my machine. I wasn't aware that high-res JPGs were also causing a problem. Perhaps a couple of you could donate scenes with textures that are causing issues so we can play around with it and see if the HDR / regular image problem is all caused by the same problem? Just compress the scene and all textures and upload it to ftp://asgvis.com/incoming - please make sure you name these so we know who the scene is coming from in case we need to contact you. For example joeb_trouble_map_test.zip or something similar. Thanks for your help
